Privacy notice for this website
This notice covers the GapScan website and emails you send us. It does not cover records processed during an engagement, which are governed by the agreement we sign with you.

Who we are
The data controller is Rowan Visser MSc, a UK sole trader operating GapScan. You can contact Rowan at privacy@gapscan.co.uk.
What we collect
- Emails you send us. Your name, email address, organisation and anything you write. We use this to reply and to arrange any work you ask about.
- Basic server records. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, records technical details such as your IP address and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
- Fonts. This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads.
This site has no contact forms, no analytics and no advertising, and it does not set cookies.
Why we use it
We rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running a secure website. If you become a client, we also rely on the contract between us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for two years after our last contact, unless they become part of a client engagement, in which case the engagement agreement sets the period.
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run our email and website: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and Fasthosts, which provides our email. We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy. Email us and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. If you are in Australia, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
